The MIDI2600-External is rather robust, and doesn't necessarily need an enclosure if it's not going to be moved around frequently.

There is no enclosure for sale--sorry. If you'd like to build an enclosed MIDI2600, it's probably best to get the MIDI2600-Internal instead. The reason is that the external version comes with all PCB-mounted connectors, which may be difficult to wire remotely (off the PCB--for example, on a panel).

...again, the enclosure is designed for use with the internal version of the kit, not the external.
