i want to ignite fireworks by a midi-signal from a drum computer.
Since it has to be very accurate, the delay between incoming Midi signal and output signal must be very short.
Can you please tell me how much delay there is?
For all of the MIDI retrofit products, the processing latency between the receipt of a MIDI message and the resulting output is very small--less than 100 microseconds.
The MIDI signal itself also has an associated latency, which is around 500 microseconds for a typical message (two bytes for a MIDI note at 31250 bits/second).
The decoder products which provide IC or transistor output (MD24 (http://highlyliquid.com/kits/md24/), MSA-T (http://highlyliquid.com/kits/msa-t/)) will not introduce any additional latency.
For the products with relay output (MSA-P (http://highlyliquid.com/kits/msa-p/), MSA-R (http://highlyliquid.com/kits/msa-r/)), up to 1ms of added latency may be added by the relay switching delay. Detailed specs can be found in the hardware user manual for each product.
And how much will shipping to Germany cost?
As of this posting, shipping to Germany starts at USD 11.00 for a small quantity of decoder kits. You can see the shipping charge for a potential order by adding products to the shopping cart and selecting the "worldwide" shipping option.
Hope this helps--please let me know if I can provide any assistance with product selection, connections to your ignition system, or any other information.
