MIDISpeak + TR-505

Hi, noob here.
I'm looking at fitting a MIDISpeak in my Speak and Spell, I have a small evolution MIDI keyboard but I was really hoping to primarily use my TR-505 to sequence the sounds, given its superior sequencing capabilities. Does anyone have any idea how compatible the two are together? Any info/help/advice appreciated.

Hi Adam,

The MIDISpeak can be triggered by the TR-505 (be sure to set the MIDISpeak for MIDI channel 10). However, the TR-505 sends fixed note numbers for each sound, and you'll be limited to whichever sounds the Speak wants to make when triggered by those notes. So you'll have a limited output from the Speak. Still might be worth a try.
