Default keyboard scan speed too fast issue

hi all !

I am currently trying to install the UMR into a yamaha pss-100

the triggering is working but there is re-triggering / false triggering etc. this type of symptom I believe is sometimes because the keyboard scan speed is too fast for the UMR.

I have tried adjusting the DIP Switch SW1 position 8 to "on". but still the same.

Has anyone overcome this type of problem?

or has any suggestions on possible solutions?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!

Have you tried reducing the number of select lines connected? For example, if you are using Select 1-8, connect only 1-4 and see if the problems are alleviated.

I know this would not be a perfect solution but it could provide some more insight into the cause of the problem.

Or--connect only Select 1. Can you get the first group of notes to trigger perfectly?

Note that you must completely power cycle the UMR after these types of changes.

hi John,

tried this but same result.

what would you say this means?

does it mean it's not a scan speed issue but some other compatability issue?

The fact that you're getting some results (but imperfect ones) almost certainly means that this is a speed issue.
