Default Need help for my sk-8

Hello
I have a problem with the kit and my casio sk-8. I paid attention to good assembled the kit.
The led power work fine and the led ACT go 2-3 sec when I connect the ground.
I use a 7805 regulator to supply power to the UMR.
I use this points for the power:

I use a microkorg to control the umr kit on the chanel one.
The sw1 is on this setting:

off-on-off-on-off-on-on-off

I don't know why it dont work...

Thanks to help me.

Ok, your dip switch settings are ok.

Please describe the behavior of LED1 and LED2 when you power everything up.

With the UMR connected, does the SK-8 keyboard still function normally?

The key fonction normaly.
But the led1 it's work when the power is off of the casio sk-8 but not many
And when i put on the power of the casio the led1 it's more lightly.
But the led2 work when i only but the ground on the pcb ground.
And it's bizzard, when i put only the 5v on the pcb + the led1 work normaly without the ground pcb but with select in and data out connect.
Sorry for my bad english...

That is ok. The select/data lines can also ground the UMR. But you should keep both DC IN "+5V" and "GND" connected.

I think this sounds ok. But it's difficult communicate everything with only words. Can you draw a complete schematic of your wiring?

Your problem could be as simple as a MIDI wiring problem. Have you double-checked your MIDI connector? Also make sure that you're sending MIDI note #s that will trigger the UMR. More info here:

Several users have successfully completed SK-8 installations, so you will get things working if you stay with it.

Your ribbon cable wiring looks ok.

Can you also post a schematic of your power wiring? I'm not sure it will help identify the problem, but it may eliminate some possible causes.

Also, you might try to power up the SK-8 first, wait a few seconds, and then power up the UMR.

We know that your IC1 and LEDs are healthy because of the LED behavior.

If you can't get any activity indication from LED2 from MIDI notes, these are the most likely causes:

1. MIDI controller configuration problem (channel or note mismatch)
2. MIDI wiring problem
3. Assembly problem (short circuit in MIDI signal path)
4. IC2 failure

If you think that 1, 2, and 3 have been eliminated, I can send a replacement IC2--please send a private message to make arrangements.
