Default Roland CR-78 (Wanting to add midi via MD24)

Greeting everyone. I'm new on the board (not new to modding) and ready to get to work on installing this unit.

Curious, has anyone had luck modifing a CR-78 using the MD24 or have tips doing something similiar? I'm looking to control the unit via 2 options: Midi Sync to 12ppq clock w/ Run/Stop and midi note to drum trigger.

The only problem I see is how to achieve 12ppq. Midi sync runs at 24ppq. Is there some work-around or would I have to implement some sort of frequency divider? Also, how do you setup the MD24 to send Run/Stop and clock to the outputs?

Thanks, Sean Ober / dJ dAb

Hi Sean,

You will have to wait for the next MD24 firmware release for sync output from the MD24 (start/stop is already available, clock out is not). The feature is on the list of requests.
