Default Raspberry Pi'deas

Just because they exist, I want one.
That's as far as I've got in this brainstorming session, but could you use Raspberry Pi in some capacity to make a MIDICPU more configurable on the fly? Or perhaps could you use it to integrate a touch-screen into a midi controller?
I know naff all about linux and I'm probably not likely to find this easy, but I thought I'd ask to see what comes up.
Any thoughts?
