Default Preset help

hi!
I'm using 6 outputs with divided midi clock to drive transistors that are switching LED strips on and off in my robot costume!
I'd like to use presets to enable or disable outputs, but as I see it, presets only allow switching an output to a state, and that there is no way to 'exit' preset mode.
Am I right? The only work around I can think of is using another output to switch a transistor that allows the midi clock outputs to pass through .
Any Ideas?
Cheers

Yes, I think that the solution you named is probably the best approach.

As you have correctly stated, the MIDIWidget preset functionality is for recalling fixed output states, as opposed to switching between different output modes or enabling/disabling an output mode.
