I was curious if there might be a way to trigger the Arp using the UMR2 that's already installed in my unit. It just needs a switch trigger. My hope would be to use a midi note (that is beyond the Poly 61's range) to trigger the Arp. Any thoughts?
If the Arp button shares the data lines from the keyswitch matrix, then it might work if you connect the Arp select line to the unused UMR2 select I/O terminal. You'd have to repeat the UMR2 setup procedure.

If the data lines are not shared by the keys and the Arp button, then you could use a general-purpose MIDI decoder to trigger a relay.
