Default MSA rev C. Mod question

I'm curious whether one can modify this board to have button triggers that bypass the MIDI. I realized I have a spare board and it would be nice to have a simple button to solenoid controller to set as I'm building and bypass having to have a keyboard or computer.

Thanks,
Tommy

Hi Tommy,

The microcontroller on the old MSA Rev C does have some spare pins, plus the pins connected to the 8-position DIP switch, that could be repurposed for this. You would have to do some custom programming of the PIC. Is that something you're interested in doing?

Hi John, I suspect programming is not going to happen here. I was hoping that there might be a point on the board where I could wire in buttons before the transistor and be able to trigger each solenoid that way. Thanks, Tommy
