Default Matrix for rotary encoder ?

Hello every body !
I am actually building my new midi controller, I've build a 128 DIP switch matrix midi controller that is working well, I'd like to chain it with a second MidiCPU with some rotary encoders, I am actually using a old Pocket-dial circuit-board from Doepfer, but it will take a lot of place and increase a lot the size of the thin midi controller it'd like to build.

Is it possible to build a matrix for 20 rotary encoders, and with 4 switch to call 4 differents configurations ?

(80 midi controllers in 4 bank X 20 rotary encoders)

I'm not sure about a matrix for encoders, but you certainly can wire up a rotary switch to change the MIDI channel globally. That will get you very similar behavior, but obviously not exactly the same.
