Default Korg kr55

Hi there

I just bougth an old Korg KR55 drum machine. I am very happy with it
but I have a quite serious problem syncing it with my DAW. I ve got
songs waiting for drums (till now I used vst drum machines) and I realised that
its almost impossible to find the rigth tempo using the tempo knob of the hardware. So I think I need a midi in so as to sent tempo from DAW to Korg

thanks in advance

Hi Bellerophone, welcome.

If you can find a schematic of the drum machine, it may be possible to form a strategy to trigger it with a general purpose MIDI deocder like the MD24 or MSA:

Or, if the buttons on the machine have a function you'd like to trigger with MIDI, this can definitely done with something like the MSA-P. Just wire an MSA-P output in parallel with the button contacts.
