Default MPA D1 - Type of diode?

Apologies if I could have been able to find the answer to my question somwhere on the site, but I looked and couldn't find it.
While assembling the MPA I seem to have lost the D1 diode. I should be able to find a replacement, but I'm not sure what type of diode it was. Is it a 1n4148 (1n914) or is it some other type?

D1 is a 1N4148, but just about any non-zener small-signal diode will work fine. Hope this helps.

In a pinch, you can replace it with an open circuit--but you'll run the risk of damaging IC2 if you mis-wire the MIDI connector.

Thank you, that's just what I needed to know. I'm well stocked on 1N4148 so I have replacements I can use.
